Capita supports South Wales Police Specialist Operations Recognition Awards

On 29th April, Capita was proud to support the South Wales Police Specialist Operations department in their Recognition Awards, held at the Vale Hotel, Glamorgan.

The Specialist Operations department includes some of the force's most skilled teams - roads policing, the dog section, mounted police, firearms teams and the Public Service Centre.

Police officers and staff in these sections often carry out some of the most astounding and, to a large extent, unrecognised acts of bravery most of which are way beyond the call of duty. Evidence gathered over the last year has shown true life-saving actions as well as acts of kindness when people have cared for the most vulnerable in our society.

During the evening a number of awards were given out in recognition of this bravery and recognising bravery and outstanding work.

Capita were honoured to present a couple of awards during the evening:

Tracey Cook: In recognition of her exceptional service to the Public Service Centre in managing numerous high profile projects that have made a difference to the quality of service provided by the department and to the communities of South Wales.
